Chango, Changito, aka Gito.
12-10-2013 to 9-12-2024
Our Spanish Podenco that we rescued when he was 6 months old. He was a mighty squirrel hunter, faithful road-trip companion, and a playful friend to Weims and Pharaohs.
Cayman, the Caymanator, our best boy.
5-2-2010 to 9-3-2023
There will never be another like him - he has made a tremendous impact on the breed, and in the lure coursing world. His presence will be forever missed in our home. We love you our handsome boy.
Kaba, KK, Atomic KK.
The Original Pharaoh Hound. I sought him out after Chili passed away. He brought such joy to my life and I'll be forever grateful.
12-13-2006 to 6-16-2021
I loved him his whole life, and will miss him the rest of mine.
Big Jake was a foster dog that soon became our dog when the rescue could not adopt him out, due to his unhinged behavior. He lived out his life with us, and was my greatest lesson.
11/26/2003 - 8/25/2015
Our first dog, Chili, was a beautiful blue Weimaraner we acquired through a local shelter at 12 weeks of age. He introduced us to a wonderful world of Weim Rescue. He left us way too soon.
10/11/2001 - 4/4/2006
We rescued our first cat together a few weeks after our honeymoon in 1998. He was hiding in the back of the cage and when I opened it, he leapt into my arms and we took him home. He lived a long life, passing away at 21 years of age.
I rescued Putty after meeting him at a PetsMart meet and greet from an area shelter. He was partially feral, and FIV+, yet lived many years, until approximately age 15. Putty was a challenge and taught many foster dogs to fear cats. He lived on his own terms, and we learned his terms.
I agreed to watch Oliver for 3 weeks while his owner moved to a new place that allowed cats. Well, the owner never came back... so Oliver was cat #3, and then we got Chili. Oliver lived to age 11 and was so friendly the new owners of a home we sold asked for him to be included.
Izzy came to us from a former coworker of ours who did not like her, and we subsequently found out she had a rare bladder condition. She was a very sweet cat with me, and liked Oliver, but that was about it. She had a wonderful life, and passed away at age 10 from kidney failure.
